Full Description
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to join our team. The driver will be responsible for transporting goods and materials in a safe, timely, and efficient manner while complying with all federal, state, and company regulations. Drivers will average 2-3 nights per week on the road during peak season. Truck fleet consists of 2018 or newer clean International sleepers with APUs for running a small refrigerator/etc for extra comfort while on the road.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles (tractor-trailer, walking floor, dump, tanker, etc.).
• Transport goods to and from customer locations, warehouses, and distribution centers.
• Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Ensure cargo is properly loaded, secured, and unloaded as required.
• Maintain accurate driver logs, delivery records, and trip reports.
• Adhere to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and all traffic laws.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and pickups.
Qualifications:
• Valid Class A CDL license.
• Clean driving record (MVR) and ability to pass DOT drug/alcohol screenings.
• Minimum 2 years of Class A driving experience preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT safety regulations and hours-of-service requirements.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
• Work in varying weather and road conditions.
