Full Description

CDL-A Truck Driver
Job Type: Regional | No-touch dry van freight
Home Time: Every week | Weekly Pay: $1,600 to $1,700
Hiring Area: Dover, DE

Position Snapshot
Regional routes primarily east of I-35
No-touch freight with drop-and-hook operations
48-hour home time scheduled every other weekend
Late-model equipment (2021 or newer)
Dispatch aligned with scheduled load assignments

This role is designed for a CDL-A truck driver who prefers a clearly defined workweek. The operation supports a routine where time on the road and time at home are both accounted for in advance.

How the Operation Runs
A CDL A driver moves through assigned routes that are arranged to keep trucks progressing throughout the week. Dispatch coordination aligns pickups and deliveries to maintain flow and reduce delays between loads. A Class A CDL driver transitions between assignments with minimal downtime, supporting an efficient run cycle.

Equipment and Environment
Tractors assigned to this fleet are late-model units built for long-haul reliability. Equipment is serviced to support uptime and limit interruptions during runs. A CDL-A truck driver operates in an environment focused on dependability and driver comfort.

Compensation and Benefits
• Weekly income: $1,600 to $1,700
• Medical, dental, and vision coverage
• 401(k) with company match
• Paid orientation

Home Time Setup
Time off is scheduled as a full 34-hour reset every week. This allows a CDL A driver to plan personal time while maintaining a consistent driving pattern between resets.

Driver Qualifications
A valid Class A CDL is required. Drivers should have at least 3 months of experience within the past 36 months and be comfortable operating within a regional routing system. A CDL-A truck driver is expected to follow assigned routes and maintain safe driving practices throughout each run.

Highway Express provides CDL A drivers a professional driving environment focused on communication and organized operations.

Highway Express is an equal opportunity employer and considers all qualified applicants without regard to protected status.
