POSITION: Bus Drivers
REPORTS TO: Director of Transportation
JOB DESCRIPTION: Drives bus to transport students over specified routes according to time schedule. Complies with traffic regulations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess a valid Indiana State CDL License with Passenger and Safety Endorsement (Original driver's license must be presented with application)
- Physical on File (Medical Examiners Certification) and a State Certified Yellow Card
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must have no points on driving record and able to pass physical including drug test
- Must complete a Safe Hiring Solutions background check
- A mandatory negative drug test is required prior to appointment to this position
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drives a school bus safely and professionally
- Performs and properly completes daily pre-trip inspections
- Complies with all traffic ordinances
- Complies with discipline policies set forth in the School Code of Conduct for Transportation
- Participates in on-site training
- Shows proficiency in handling and maneuvering school bus
- Any or all assigned duties
SALARY:
- $22.75 per hour/5 hours per day
START DATE: Upon Board Approval
