Description of Job:
Ensure safe and orderly transportation of students on assigned routes.
Operate school bus that transports students and other authorized personnel to and from schools or other designated locations.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Preferred
Valid Texas Commercial Driver's License (CDL) OR ability to obtain (Class A or B with P or S or both P and S Endorsements)
Fingerprinting completed before the first day of work
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Must be 21 years of age
Ability to pass alcohol and drug tests
Ability to complete required bus driver safety training
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to communicate effectively
Knowledge of student discipline procedure
Ability to manage student behavior
Ability to operate bus and keep accurate daily records
Ability to operate 2-way radio
Ability to work occasional extended hours if needed
