Full Description

Are you the driver who shows up ready, runs a clean route, and takes it personally when something is late or not right? LOVING is hiring a CDL-A Driver and we are looking for someone who brings that same level of ownership to every delivery.
The LOVING Standard

LOVING is a landscape, hardscape, sod, and outdoor living company serving residential and commercial clients across the Carolinas. We build outdoor spaces people actually live in, and behind every job site is a logistics operation that keeps the materials moving and the crews ready to work.

We have high standards and a culture that takes care of its people. If you want to work somewhere your reliability matters every single day, keep reading.
Your Role in It

Our crews cannot build what they do not have. Sod, pavers, gravel, and equipment have to be at the right job site at the right time. Every single day. Every LOVING install starts before the crew picks up a tool, and as a full-time CDL-A Driver based out of Charlotte, that is where this role lives. When this seat delivers, crews build on time and customers receive the outdoor spaces LOVING is proud to stand behind. When it does not, the whole day shifts.
What You'll Own

  • Get materials and equipment to LOVING job sites across the Charlotte area on time and in good shape, coordinating with dispatch and staying ahead of the schedule so crews are never waiting on a delivery.
  • Complete a thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspection every single shift. The crew, the schedule, and the customer are all depending on this truck being road-ready.
  • Operate a Moffett on active job sites, placing materials where the crew needs them and making smart decisions that protect the cargo, the equipment, and the people around you.
  • Load and secure flatbed cargo properly on every run. Weight distribution, tie-down, and route planning are non-negotiable. They protect the load, the truck, and LOVING's name on every job site we serve.
  • Keep logs, delivery records, and vehicle notes accurate and current every day. Clean documentation protects the driver and keeps LOVING's compliance standing solid.
  • Communicate clearly with dispatch, crew leads, and site contacts. Confirm windows, flag delays before they become problems, and keep people informed without being asked.
  • Report vehicle issues early before they become breakdowns in the field. Keeping the truck running is part of keeping the crews running.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned that support the team, strengthen the operation, and reflect the ownership, accountability, and craftsmanship LOVING is built on.

Requirements
The Qualities That Set You Apart
  • Bring a valid CDL-A license, a clean three-year MVR, and a track record of driving safely, professionally, and responsibly.
  • Know your way around a Moffett, with at least two years of experience placing materials exactly where they need to go on active job sites.
  • Be confident hauling heavy materials on a flatbed, including proper loading, weight balance, tie-downs, and securement.
  • Be comfortable delivering where the work is happening: tight spaces, uneven ground, moving crews, busy schedules, and job sites that don't always make things easy.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical and maintain DOT compliance throughout employment.
  • Be built for the real work behind the wheel and beyond it, including loading, unloading, securing cargo, and working outside in heat, cold, rain, mud, and active job site conditions.
  • Run your route like a professional: stay organized, think ahead, solve problems in the field, and keep the day moving without needing someone to manage every step.
  • Communicate clearly with dispatch, yard teams, crew leads, and job site contacts so every delivery lands safely, smoothly, and on time.
  • Bring experience from roofing, concrete, utilities, heavy equipment delivery, landscape supply, or another trade-based driving environment. That kind of field background is a serious advantage.
