Full Description
The essential function of the position within the organization is to operate heavy equipment in the operation, maintenance and/or construction of County landfill operations, grounds and infrastructure. The position is responsible for operating complex and specialized heavy equipment, inspecting and maintaining equipment, and performing related work as assigned. The position works under general supervision according to some procedures; decides how and when to complete tasks.
This position shall be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.
THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires high school diploma, GED, or vocational training with three (3) years of related experience.
Requires valid Florida CDL class B driver's license and within six (6) months of hire hazwopper and spotter training.
