Transportation Driver Full-time

Our driver is responsible in providing transportation for our patients/residents as scheduled by the transportation coordinator to satisfy medical appointments.

The driver's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following duties:

• Operate vehicle to transport patients/residents between destinations in a safe manner consistent with Larkin Community Hospitals policy and regulations.
• Comply with all traffic regulations in order to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.
• Report any van malfunctions or needed repairs to the transportation coordinator.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness at all times.
• Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to the proper facility and dispatcher.
• Pick up and drop off passengers at scheduled locations, following time schedules.
• Provide directions and information about van schedules, facilities and operations to the passengers as needed.
• Regulate ventilation systems for passenger comfort.
• Establish good rapport with passengers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Two years of experience transporting patients.
• Be familiar with Miami-Dade and Broward County roadways.
• A valid Florida driver's license with no violations or accidents in the last 36 months.
• CDLA or B with P endorsement required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Schedule:

• Alternating weekends
