Responsibilities:
- Operate company owned and leased trucks over 4 ton to facilitate shipping/receiving operations
- Operate trucks for the delivery and unloading of bakery product
- Perform required pre/post maintenance checks and provide required reports
- Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations
- Maintain all required certifications required by DOT
- Comply with safety policies, procedures and DOT regulations
- Maintain and protect all property in excellent condition
- Perform other duties as needed to support and improve overall department operations.
Work Schedule:
- Routes are worked 5 days a week, with Tuesday and Saturdays being the general off days
- Shifts may start in between 9:00am-12:00pm and ends when route is complete (roughly 10 hours)
- Route schedules and off daysmay be adjusted to accommodate holiday schedules
Compensation:
- Weekly guarantee is $1,150 | $65,000 - $95,000 earning potential per year!
- Pay is based on several variables such as rate per mile, stop pay, scheduled increases, bonus potential, etc.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid CDL class A license
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- 1-3 years years of professional driving experience is preferred
- Acceptable driving record
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug screening, background check, and other pre-employment requirements
- Must be capable of exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds of force frequently, 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Other physical requirements: sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, bending, twisting, talking and hearing.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak well as perform simple math
- Ability to operate computerized systems
- Can travel within the tri-state area
