Liberty Tire Recycling is seeking a dependable and flexible Class A Utility Driver. This role supports operations as needed and requires the ability to perform yard driving, route driving, and drop-and-hook duties. The Utility Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient collection and transportation of waste tires, including picking up tires while on route, moving trailers within the yard, and supporting dispatch-driven operational needs.
Job Responsibilities:
• Operate as a utility driver performing yard moves, route driving, and drop-and-hook operations as assigned
• Collect and transport waste tires from customer locations to the home facility, yard, or designated drop locations
• Successfully manage assigned routes while meeting safety, service, and productivity expectations
• Safely lift and load tires of all sizes, including passenger vehicle, truck, and tractor tires
• Navigate routes using local maps and routing directions
• Complete all DOT-required paperwork and company documentation accurately at each collection site
• Transport monies collected from cash-only customers when required
• Maintain a positive and professional customer service attitude in all situations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and perform routine preventive maintenance
• Report equipment defects or repair needs through proper completion of DVIRs
• Comply with all FMCSA regulations and company safety standards at all times
• Perform other duties as assigned based on operational needs
Qualifications and Skills: • Valid Class A CDL required
• Experience operating single and tandem axle tractors
• Experience with 28', 48', and 53' trailers
• Ability to safely and efficiently perform drop-and-hook operations
• Ability to work independently with general instructions
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, and the public
• Must meet all FMCSA driver qualification requirements
