McIntosh Box and Pallet is hiring a 1st Shift CDL A Driver in Mineral, VA!
We are seeking a dependable and organized CDL A Truck Driver to join our team and ensure safe, timely, and accurate deliveries. This position offers the opportunity to build strong relationships with customers while representing a well-established company.
Pay is $26 per hour and up based on experience.
Shift: 6am to 3:30pm but times can vary base on delivery schedule
As a CDL A Truck Driver you will help ensure our product is delivered in a safe and timely manner. You will have the opportunity to build long standing relationships with our customers during deliveries.
A CDL Driver's Responsibilities:
- Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned delivery vehicle
- Drive trucks with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs.
- Pull a towed weight exceeding 10,000 lbs.
- Ensure trailer hitch is properly and securely attached to the tractor unit
- Communicate with dispatch as needed
- Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip
- Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean
- Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered
- Adhere to company rules and regulations
- Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions
- Comply with ICC and DOT regulations
- Make safety a priority at all times
