About the job CDL-A Truck Driver Trainee - Paid Training
NIS Express is now accepting applications from entry level Class A CDL drivers in Searcy, AR. If you hold a valid Class A CDL and are looking for a company that will invest in your career from day one, this is your opportunity.
GET PAID WHILE YOU TRAIN
We offer a structured 3 to 5 week paid training program designed to prepare new drivers for a successful career on the road. You will be paired with a dedicated one-on-one trainer who will guide you through every step before you go solo.
Your training will cover:
- Tractor-trailer operation and road safety
- ELD compliance and hours-of-service logging
- Pre and post-trip vehicle inspections
- NIS Express company policies and dispatch procedures
You go solo only after completing supervised miles and evaluations. We do not rush the process.
WHAT NIS EXPRESS OFFERS
- Weekly pay: $1,400 - $1,800 based on experience, route and miles driven

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely and in compliance with all DOT regulations
- Transport no-touch dry van freight - approximately 70% drop and hook
- Meet delivery appointments and maintain on-time performance
- Keep accurate ELD logs, DVIRs and trip reports
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report issues immediately
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Class A CDL license required
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Completion of 120 or more hours at an accredited CDL school (drivers with a valid Class A CDL and no OTR experience are also welcome to apply)
- Acceptable driving record with a focus on safety
- Ability to pass a DOT physical exam and pre-employment drug screen
