Job description:
A ZA Construction Driver on our Derail and load adjust division team will perform a variety of tasks involving physical labor. Our Derail and load adjust division must be able to work Monday - Friday (full-time and some overtime) and be available to work on weekends/holidays when necessary. Must be able to travel out of state (transportation provided). Salary is commensurate with experience.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Class A CDL Required
- Loading and unloading all equipment as necessary.
- Maintain delivery and DOT paperwork, and must be fully compliant with all federal, state, and local laws/regulations.
- Must be able to respond to Irondale, AL within 40 to 50 minutes of a call.
- Must be able to have the ability to travel in the region frequently, with some out-of-town jobs.
- All work is outdoors. Must be able work in all weather conditions as well as rough terrain.
- Provides ground support for operations to include pulling winch lines and rigging.
- Carries, handles, and detaches/attaches heavy steel chains, blocks and steel cables, and other devices.
- Must be physically able to climb on and under derailed railroad cars or other equipment.
- Cleans, maintains, and sets-up equipment requiring small and large tools.
- Works at elevated heights on railroad cars, bridges, or in water.
- Maintains required equipment service pre trip and post trip.
- Must be able to follow instructions to efficiently clean up derailed railroad cars, engines, environmental remediation, or other projects using materials, machines, and employees.
- Must be on time to the job site safely briefing every day with required PPE.
- Must report and document any major repairs needed on equipment to the site foreman.
- Responsible for the safe operation and upkeep of all equipment on site.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Must be highly dependable and available for emergency calls.
- Applicants will be required to submit a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Class A CDL License required
