As part of our transportation team, you will be helping us to achieve our mission by helping us process donated goods. Re-sellable items are used to support our mission of helping people with disabilities and our nation's veterans to go to work. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
Must be 21 years old or older
Must have a valid Class A CDL license
EXPERIENCE:
Good knowledge of DOT regulations, reading, writing and customer service skills. Ability to pass any drug and alcohol testing as well as initial and renewal DOT physical. Must pass criminal background check.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Complete pre and post trip inspections on trucks per DOT regulations
Complete all required paperwork accurately and turn in daily
Take empty equipment to designated site in exchange for full equipment and other returns
Make store deliveries according to the shipping schedule
Ensures load is secured with proper instruments (straps, load bar)
Unload truck and take product to designated area
Take empty trailers to designated site and exchange for full trailer to return to designated lot
Deliver trailers to merchants and pick up full trailers
Turn trailers in the yard as directed by management
Complete inventory pulls slips on each trailer moved and turn in daily
Comply with DOT regulations
Keep truck and equipment clean and free of litter
Other duties as assigned
PERIODICAL DUTIES:
Attend Safety meetings
Work special events
Clean dock, outside shipping area and around ADC locations
Work overtime (on short notice), holidays and weekends as assignedWork in all weather conditions
WORKING CONDITIONS: The role involves continuous standing and walking, moderate sitting and driving, frequent bending, squatting, climbing, lifting 50 lbs, occasional heavier lifting, simple grasping, and working in both warehouse and outdoor environments with exposure to hot and cold conditions.
