UTILITY SYSTEMS COORDINATOR

Performs highly responsible technical work managing, monitoring, and coordinating the operations of the Water Utilities Department both during and after hours. Responsible for monitoring Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and incident calls to determine when response crews are necessary. Serves as an incident commander for line breaks, lift station breakdowns, distribution and collection piping systems, plant operations, and other critical infrastructure incidents for Water Utilities. Works in all types of weather conditions and is required to work where hazardous conditions exist. Work is performed with considerable independence and is performed within the parameters of plans, instructions, and standard operating procedures under the direction of an administrative superior. Work is reviewed through conferences, reports, and results obtained.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the operation, construction, maintenance, or asset management of a utility, which includes four (4) years of supervisory experience.

PREFERENCE FOR: Experience working with permitting procedures that involve compliance with federal, state and/or local water control standards and regulations; five (5) years of supervisory and project management experience related to the construction and/or operation of public water utility systems; 10 or more years of experience in professional utility work related to the construction or operation/repair/maintenance of water utility systems; valid FL Class A CDL.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Valid Florida Driver's License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment.
