Position: Bus Driver
Duties:
Serve as a member of the District's transportation team; provide students with safe and efficient transportation to and from school so they can fully benefit from the learning opportunities available through the District's instructional program; provide transportation for students and staff on field trips, out-of-school activities, and/or athletic trips as may be assigned; work cooperatively with District and building-level personnel on busing issues to ensure an effective, quality transportation program
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- Demonstrated aptitude for and competence in operation of a school bus, both for a regular route and for school activities
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Wyoming CDL class B, with passenger, air brake, and school bus endorsements.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and cooperatively with members of the transportation team, parents, students, and other District staff
- Ability to meet the requirements outlined in the District's Activity/Route Bus Driver's Handbook
- Willingness to abide by all District guidelines for bus drivers/transportation and to adapt to specific or new working situations
Salary: District Support Services Wage Schedule (Base=$17.25/hour)
Employment Term: Up to four and one-half (4.75) hours per day for route assignment plus assigned activity trips during school year - 175 days for 2021-2022 school year
