Full Description

Shed Deliver Driver- THIS JOB IS LOCATED IN- Northern GA DO NOT CALL the office about the position! We will reach out if we wish to move forward with your application Making American Craftsmanship Great Again! Pine View Buildings is a dynamic growing company that is entrepreneurial minded and that seeks to operate by the Golden Rule (not the one that states: "He who has the gold makes the rules!"). We build outdoor storage sheds featuring time-honored craftsmanship and industry leading innovation - "Do you see a man skillful in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men." (Proverbs 22:29). We invest in only the best resources, from the raw materials that go into our barns to the people that make and deliver them. Quite simply, no one builds a better shed for the money, or offers a better place to work. In 2013, we founded Pine View Buildings out of a desire to address concerns of quality and service in the storage building industry. As a company, our primary goals since the beginning have been the following: To raise the standard of build quality To operate a company built on God-honoring ethics and standards. We accomplish these goals by: Maintaining high standards in hiring employees and dealers. Enforcing high standards of conduct Over time we have grown from a family-and-friends-only crew to a larger enterprise with multiple shops serving many states. While many things have changed at Pine View Buildings, the values we began with have not. We continue to attempt to raise the bar, holding ourselves to the highest of standards. We strive to maintain an environment where our employees are like family, looking out for each other and the best interests of our customers. Does this sound like something you are interested in being a part of? We are always looking to add to this team. Currently we have openings for drivers interested in delivering our storage buildings. This job is not best suited for you if you: Want to do the same thing every day. Are uncomfortable with strong accountability. Are nervous about driving a $125,000 delivery rig carrying cargo worth sometimes up to $40,000. Are expecting a traditional hauling position. Do not have a CDL. Want the same pay every week. Are uncomfortable with a seasonal job environment. Are unfamiliar with equipment handling, such as forklifts, tractors, etcetera. Are uncomfortable with at-times heavy physical labor such as lifting and moving the blocks we use to level our buildings. This job is for you if you: Are comfortable with a commission-only structure. Enjoy being able to control what you make each week. Enjoy the challenge of having to figure things out on your own (such as in a delivery environment) Enjoy the challenge of physical labor-moving buildings into place via a mule and blocking them. (3-4 deliveries per day minimum) Have a CDL Class A with Air Brakes Endorsement and no manual restriction Requirements Additional job notes and requirements Customer home deliveries are done by a solo driver, requiring the driver to be able to work independently and make decisions/overcome obstacles on their own. Drivers have access to a support group of other drivers, in addition to multiple people on the transportation team and within the company that have held driving positions. We pay commission per building delivered, the pay you make each week is entirely up to you. Our business peaks in spring and fall with periods of more moderate sales in-between. This environment requires all production employees, such as builders and drivers, to be flexible with work hours and pay during these times. During slower seasons, more time off is available and pay will consequently be lower. During busier seasons, time off is minimal, overnights are increased, and commission payouts are higher due to more buildings delivered. We pride ourselves on maintaining an excellent fleet of trucks and holding ourselves and drivers to a high standard. To this end, we employ the use of braking, mileage, and speed tracking in addition to front and rear facing cameras to enforce safety policies . A driver safety scoring system is in place and rewards are given monthly for drivers scoring high in safety-related behaviors. Critical Success Factors: Highly Motivated Attention to detail Willingness to learn and adapt to different environments Ability to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure Ability to carry and set leveling blocks under the buildings, some weighing 50+lbs Requires bending, crawling, lifting, stretching, reaching, pulling, and working in tight spaces Benefits 401(k) matching Dental insurance Disability insurance Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Referral program Vision insurance
