The position of Heavy Equipment Hauler is critical to relocating equipment for use amongst various job sites. This individual is responsible for maintaining the equipment and ensuring its timely arrival.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive flatbed to the job site for equipment retrieval or delivery
Maintain safe practices when loading the equipment onto or off the flatbed trailer
Communicate with each job site to coordinate pick-up and drop-off times
Drives company vehicle in a safe and prudent manner at all times and comply with all DOT requirements
Operates equipment to load and unload cargo or materials in a safe manner
Occasional operating outside of loading and unloading as necessary
Maintain service vehicles and shop equipment to present a clean and professional appearance
Service vehicles every 90 days or before, if necessary, this will consist of general maintenance including washing, fueling, etc.
Ensures proper storage of vehicle when not in use to prevent property damage
QUALIFICATIONS
Motivated work ethic
Clear verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate with a team
Basic mathematical ability including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Ability to read, write, and interpret reports and documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
Critical thinking skills and ability to problem solve independently
A high school diploma or GED is required
Valid Class A CDL Required
1 year or more experience hauling or driving rollback truck preferred
General heavy equipment experience preferred
Exposed to outdoor weather conditions including rain, humidity, snow, wind, cold, and heat.
Capable and willing to wear jobsite specific personal protective equipment and able to lift at least 50 lbs.
