A professional driver who has acquired a commercial driver's license (Class A, CDL) to operate trucks or commercial vehicles to transport materials and heavy equipment.

JOB OVERVIEW
A professional driver who has acquired a commercial driver's license (Class A, CDL) to operate trucks or commercial vehicles to transport materials and heavy equipment.
ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive and operate a variety of trucks and trailers with a gross weight of over 26,000 lbs.
- Follow instructions; review and read location and road maps
- Pre-inspect truck daily by following a checklist.
- Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed throughout Wisconsin.
- Load and unload cargo.
- Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance.
- Comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
- Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy.
- Home daily with local routes.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Experience: minimum six months of OTR experience required; two - three years of Class A experience preferred.
- Licenses: CDL - Class A required.
- No serious or preventable traffic violations/accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the past three years.
- No convictions for DUI/DWI/OWI or reckless driving involving drugs or alcohol in the past seven years.
- Understanding of traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Ability to pass random drug tests.
