Home daily runs primarily from Lakeland to South Florida and back
100% No Touch Freight
Drop and Hook Runs
Set, weekly schedules. No layovers if not required by HOS. (we keep the drivers moving)
Generates approx $2800gross O/O revenues
O/O provides tag, Saddle Creek provide operating authority
Saddle Creek provides all trailers
Safety Bonus Program (up to $1,000 ) and Annual Retention Bonus ($1,100)
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Sleeper Truck required
Have your own base plate and IFTA
12 months experience driving a tractor trailer in the past 5 years
Must be able to obtain T.W.I.C. card (Saddle Creek will reimburse)
Valid Class A CDL and have a current DOT medical card -(minimum 1 year medical card issued required)
21 years of age or older
Pass a road test
Acceptable driving record per policy
Acceptable responses to previous employment verifications
Pass drug, background check, and pre-employment tests
Be approved by the compliance department on all DOT and Saddle Creek Transportation requirements prior to driving for Saddle Creek Transportation
Responsibilities
Safely drive a commercial motor vehicle (tractor and trailer)
Complete deliveries on schedule and interface with customers effectively
Assist in loading and unloading of the vehicle
Verify order to ensure correct products loaded
Meet all company standards and DOT requirements for vehicles and drivers
Follow company safety policies and procedures and encourage other associate to do the same
Work cooperatively and productively with supervisors and other associates to complete tasks
Perform and document pre and post trip inspections and complete all necessary paperwork
Provide and inspire outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail and completing assigned work in a timely manner
All other duties as assigned
Knowledge, skills and abilities
Working knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
Deliver excellent customer service
Maintain all DOT required licenses and documentation
Able to work independently
Adhere to DOT rules and regulations
Operate in a constant state of alertness, and safe manner
Safely get in and out of the cab on your own
