Join a dedicated local intermodal operation based in Fort Wayne, IN. Earn $80,000-$88,000 annually, get home daily, and run primarily container freight with daily Chicago routes plus local work.
Main Yard / Starting Location
Fort Wayne, IN - drivers report to the Fort Wayne yard daily for dispatch and truck assignment. Tractors remain at the account during time off.

Pay Details
$80,000-$88,000 Average Annual Pay
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,550-$1,700
- $5,000 bonus
- $0.52-$0.62 per mile
- Approximately 1,900 miles per week
- $56 live load/unload at customer
- $28 customer drop/hook
- $15 out-of-route empty move or crosstown drop
- $15/hour rail delay after 1 hour
- $15/hour detention after 1.5 hours
- $25 per HAZMAT load
- Dedicated local intermodal operation
- Operates within a 175-mile radius of Fort Wayne
- Daily runs to Chicago and back
- Local work within approximately 100 miles of Fort Wayne as needed
- Transport containers between customers and rail yards
- Approximately 60% drop & hook / 40% live load-unload on day shift
- Primarily drop & hook during night operations
- Drivers report to the Fort Wayne yard for dispatch and truck assignment
- Slip-seat operation
- Tuesday-Saturday
- 6:00 AM start
- Approximately 11-hour shifts
- Home daily
- Schedule may include daily Chicago runs
- Trucks remain at the account during time off
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 3 months of truck driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Valid DOT Medical Card
- No SAP drivers
- HAZMAT endorsement not required at hiring
- Must obtain HAZMAT endorsement within 60 days of hire
- HAZMAT endorsement costs reimbursed after the endorsement is added to the CDL
- Must be comfortable operating automatic equipment
- Additional qualifications may apply
- Automatic trucks only - no manuals
- Slip-seat operation
- Trucks remain at the account during time off
- Riders not permitted
- 18 paid days off initially: 12 PTO + 6 holidays
- After 1 year: 22 paid days off: 16 PTO + 6 holidays
