Pay Details
- Average Yearly Gross: $85,000-$95,000
- Approximately $1,650-$1,850 average weekly
- $10,000 bonus
- $0.64 per mile
- $70 daily rate
- $19.25 per stop
- $25 rail shuttle pay
- $20/hour detention after 4 hours
- $200/day new-hire training pay
- $20/hour safety training pay
- $200/day holiday pay
- Dedicated grocery deliveries
- York, PA starting location
- Service area approximately 75-100 miles from the distribution center
- No NY or NJ routes
- Dry and frozen grocery freight
- 53' or 51' trailers
- Preloaded, palletized freight
- Usually 2 stops per trailer
- 2 shorter loads or 1 longer load per day
- Backhauls returning to the yard
- Primarily drop & hook
- Occasional pallet-jack assistance at stores
- Onsite management
- Daily home time
- Normal start time: 2:00 PM-6:00 PM
- Friday-Tuesday
- 5-day workweek
- Voluntary 6th day available
- Holiday work when scheduled
- No loads on Thanksgiving or Christmas
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 3 months of truck driving experience
- Clean driving record
- DOT Medical Card
- No SAP drivers
- Good customer service skills
- Able to occasionally assist with palletized freight using a pallet jack
- Must have reliable personal transportation to and from the York, PA facility daily
- Automatic daycabs
- Dry van and reefer trailers
- Assigned tractors, sometimes shared with opposite-shift drivers
- Trucks cannot be taken home
- Uniforms provided and maintained
- Paid online orientation
