CDL-A Local Grocery Driver - Good Pay | Home Daily
Earn $85,000-$100,000 average annual gross pay while delivering fresh and frozen groceries across the Hudson Valley, Long Island, NYC, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Enjoy daily home time, online orientation, and consistent work.

Pay Details
- Average Annual Pay: $85,000-$100,000
- Average Weekly Pay: $1,700-$1,950
- Seniority-based average: $83,600-$87,600
- Double dock pay available
- Deliver fresh and frozen groceries in 48', 51', or 53' reefer trailers
- Routes within approximately 250 miles
- Delivery areas include Hudson Valley, Long Island, NYC, NJ, and CT, with backhauls including PA
- NYC freight accounts for only 20-25% of deliveries
- 15+ stops per week
- Usually 2 loads per day or one long load
- Mostly no-touch freight; driver assists with unloading
- Support other local distribution accounts approximately 2-3 days per week
- Pallet jack training provided when needed
- Home Daily
- Monday, Thursday-Sunday
- Off Tuesday and Wednesday
- Start times: 1:00 AM-5:00 AM
- 5-day work week
- 2 mandatory 6th days per month
- Additional 6th days required around major holidays
- Thanksgiving and Christmas off; New Year's not guaranteed
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 3 months truck driving experience
- Clean driving record
- DOT Medical Card
- Reliable personal transportation
- Strong customer service skills
- No SAP drivers
- NYC experience preferred
- New drivers cannot run NYC until they have 6+ months on the account
- NYC-certified training required before solo NYC routes
- Automatic and manual daycabs
- Slip-seat operation
- Trucks cannot be taken home
- Reefer trailers
- Online orientation
- Uniforms provided and maintained
