CDL-A Local Retail Driver | TARGET ACCOUNT - Shafter, CA
Drive dedicated retail delivery routes from the Shafter, California distribution center to stores across the Central Valley, greater Los Angeles area, and Las Vegas. Earn mileage pay based on experience, plus additional pay for qualifying short loads, sweeps, and backhauls.

Drive dedicated retail delivery routes from the Shafter, California distribution center to stores across the Central Valley, greater Los Angeles area, and Las Vegas. Earn mileage pay based on experience, plus additional pay for qualifying short loads, sweeps, and backhauls.
Pay Details
- Mileage Pay: $0.57-$0.68 per mile, based on experience
- Average Weekly Mileage: Approximately 2,000 miles
- Short-Load Pay: $20 for loads under 100 miles
- Stop Pay: $15 for qualifying sweeps and backhauls
- No sign-on bonus offered
Mileage pay by experience:
- 0 years: $0.57 CPM
- 1 year: $0.59 CPM
- 2 years: $0.61 CPM
- 3 years: $0.63 CPM
- 4 years: $0.65 CPM
- 5 years: $0.68 CPM
- Dedicated retail store deliveries
- Deliver to approximately 40 stores across California's Central Valley, the greater Los Angeles basin, and Las Vegas, NV
- No-touch freight; drivers do not load or unload
- Swap trailers at store locations
- Secure trailers using store-provided kingpin locks; must be able to lift 15-20 pounds
- Slip-seated operation
- Trucks remain at the Shafter distribution center and cannot be taken home
- Home Daily when scheduled; occasional overnight stays required
- Night shifts, weekends, and all holidays required
- Operation runs seven days a week
- Typically 5 days per week during lower-volume periods, with 2 days off
- During peak periods, especially October-December and summer, schedules may increase to 6 days per week with 1 day off
- A consistent day off each week
- Overnight stays may increase to 2-3 days per week during peak season
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience
- First-seat, experienced drivers required
- Clean driving record
- Valid DOT Medical Card
- No SAP drivers
- Reliable transportation to and from the Shafter distribution center
- Must be available for night, weekend, holiday, and peak-season work
- Must be able to secure trailers with kingpin locks and lift 15-20 pounds
- Slip-seated trucks
- No-touch freight
- Company trucks are parked at the Shafter distribution center
- Driver support available from fleet and office staff
