Commercial Driver - Boston, MA

The Opportunity

The Commercial Driver position for Packaging Solutions involves driving a company tractor and trailer to deliver product to our customers. Driver routes will typically be 4-10 stops per route, will require the driver to unload via lift gate with pallet jack, and transport/place palletized product inside the customers' location. Driver will be expected to use ELD and log all activity and follow all state and federal regulations. Routes are generally <150 miles round trip.

How you will impact Packaging Solutions, a Smurfit WestRock Company:

• Safely operates tractor and trailer for the delivery of product and materials.
• Perform vehicle inspections as required.
• Operate mobile apps on phone for ELD and proof of delivery.
• Provide outstanding customer service during delivery.
• Follow all safety rules for equipment and material handling as required by DOT, OSHA and Company safety program.
• Ensure all orders are delivered in good condition and in full as per the bill of lading.
• Communicate effectively with operations staff about customer concerns.
• Utilize material handling equipment, such hand trucks.

What You Need To Succeed

• Current CDL Class A license
• Requires a current DOT Medical Card and a safe driving record.
• 3-5years of experience driving a tractor trailer and box truck experience
• General fluency in English required, verbal and written
• Basic computer literacy preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

The starting rate for this position is $31-32/hr., depending on your role, level and location.
