South Mill is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Over-the-Road (OTR) CDL-A Driver to transport company products across long-distance routes. This position may operate as a team driver and plays a critical role in ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with DOT regulations and company standards.
Drivers are compensated for all actual miles driven unless otherwise designated as a flat-rate assignment.

Position Type: Full-Time.
Expected Route: Texas - Pennsylvania ( to Change)
Compensation: CPM based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle over long distances
Hook and unhook trailers, secure loads, and back into dock areas safely
Maintain communication with dispatch and provide trip status updates
Complete all delivery documentation accurately and timely
Comply with FMCSA, DOT, and company safety standards
Attend quarterly safety meetings and required training sessions
Maintain professional interactions with customers, dispatch, and team members
Lift and handle product when required (up to 50 lbs.)
Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Valid CDL Class A license
Minimum one (1) year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
Valid DOT medical certification
Knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English (DOT requirement)
Ability to work independently and in a team-driving environment
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit for extended periods while driving
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb as needed
Ability to lift, lower, and maneuver up to 50 pounds
Frequent use of hands and arms for vehicle operation and securing loads
Ability to safely enter and exit tractor and trailer multiple times per shift
Ability to meet DOT physical requirements
Work Environment
Exposure to varying weather and temperature conditions
Work in warehouse and loading dock environments
Occasional exposure to moderate noise levels
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
