Position Overview
- Strange Trip Inc. is hiring motivated and professional CDL Class A tractor-trailer drivers to join our growing team.
- Port experience is a plus
- We're a family-owned, safety-oriented carrier running both for FedEx and under our own DOT authority.

Requirements
- CDL Class A License
- Minimum 6 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR and criminal background
- Strong work ethic, professionalism, and punctuality
- Commitment to customer service, safety, and equipment cleanliness
- Must perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Runs
- Our primary focus is local freight based around Ontario, CA, allowing drivers to be home daily with steady miles and consistent pay. We will be concentrating on port operations, primarily hauling containers.
- There may also be opportunities for regional or OTR runs for drivers interested in longer trips or higher-paying freight. Dispatch is transparent and works closely with drivers to maximize miles, efficiency, and earnings.
- As we expand operations under our own authority, we are continuously building relationships with brokers and shippers to improve freight consistency. Drivers who are flexible and team-oriented will have opportunities to grow with us and benefit from stronger lanes over time.
Compensation
- 25% to 33% of load revenue (increases with each year of service)
- $150 monthly service and safety incentive
- Company pays for all fuel, tolls, maintenance, insurance, and truck costs
- Year-end holiday bonus
