Full Description
Structural Component Systems, Inc. of Fremont, NE is actively seeking a full-time Class B CDL Driver in the Grimes, Iowa area to safely deliver building materials and components a manual transmission straight truck. Must be able to occasionally operate a truck mounted forklift and unload products in a safe manner and damage free.
This position works Monday through Friday with no weekends required. We value your personal time - so home every night. Plus, we work hard to be flexible around your schedule, as needed. For example, start times are flexible to your schedule but drivers usually start their day around 7:00 AM. We value safety and operate a well-maintained fleet.
SCS offers a competitive wage starting at $23-25/hour based on experience with the opportunity for an increase every 6 months, based on performance.

Job Description Summary:
Be able to make deliveries of product to jobsites. Assist sales and design teams by measuring foundations on site.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
- Maintain equipment, keeping in good condition for operation.
- Drive safely and maintain all D.O.T regulations.
- Measure foundations when needed. (Will train.)
- Pick up and deliver product to our customers when needed, could come from warehouse or be picked up at a vendor and then delivered.
- Keep inventory of warehouse on regular basis. Clean and organize warehouse area.
- Complete minor truss fixes on site per MiTek architectural drawings using hand tools and a nail gun.
- Assist SCS drivers, meeting them at job site, picking up material and loading it on truck, then delivering. Ability to drive a forklift for loading and unloading.
- Cleaning and maintaining company vehicles
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Class B driver's license. Manual Transmission
- Clean driver's record.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders and have no fear of heights.
- Good organizational skills, ability to read and write in English.
- Ability to maintain good work attendance.
- Positive, self-motivated, can do attitude, and requires very little supervision.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to use hand tools and nail gun
- Ability to use a tape measure
Preferred skills:
- 2 years driving experience or Drivers training certificates.
- Construction/foundation experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Forklift experience a plus, though not required.
- Warehouse experience a plus, though not required.

- Cleaning warehouse area
- Organizing warehouse products
- office and/or warehouse tasks as needed
