Fleet Manager/Truck Boss-Rock Springs, WY

Overview

Lewis & Lewis Construction, A Summit Materials Company, is currently hiring for a Fleet Manager/Truck Boss in Rock Springs, Wyoming.

This position is responsible for ensuring that vehicles and driver are being utilized to their fullest potential in a safe manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Vehicle scheduling and dispatch
• Vehicle inspection and maintenance
• Monitoring, correcting, and improving driving behavior and operations.
• Mentoring and coaching drivers
• Setting drivers schedules
• Tracking driver attendance, health, and other statuses.
• Ensuring drivers adhere to applicable transportation regulations
• Maintaining communication with drivers
• Train drivers on risk management protocols, safety standards etc
• Fleet performance and expenses
• Maintain lists of active vehicles and vehicles in need of repair.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• 1-3 years previous experience in related industry preferred
• CDL required, Class A preferred
• Demonstrated decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines
