Location: 4208 Underwood Industrial Dr, Irondale, AL 35210

Starting Pay: $18 per hour, depending on experience

• Must be willing to travel to Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, and Tennessee. *

Job Summary:

We are seeking a safety-focused and dependable Asphalt Laborer to assist with asphalt milling operations and site preparation. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working around milling machines and cleanup equipment and must be committed to maintaining high safety standards on job sites.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform general labor tasks around the milling machine
• Operate cleanup equipment such as brooms, skid steers, and bump mills to maintain milled surfaces
• Safely operate milling-related and heavy equipment under various site conditions
• Conduct daily equipment maintenance and safety checks, including cleaning, greasing, replacing hydraulic lines, and swapping blades or buckets
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside of assigned machines
• Operate all equipment in a manner that ensures safety for all personnel on site
• Communicate effectively with crew members to coordinate tasks and work efficiently as a team
• Support the preparation of job sites for paving operations
• Provide excellent customer service and uphold company standards

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in milling or asphalt crews preferred
• Highway construction, flatbed/equipment hauling experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of the paving process and site preparation procedures
• Willingness to travel - work is performed in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, and Tennessee
• Must be dependable and punctual for all scheduled shifts
• Comfortable working outdoors in extreme heat or cold for extended hours
• Available to work days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
• CDL-A license is a strong plus but not required
• Must pass a DOT physical (provided by the company)
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
