Substitute Bus Drivers for Teton County School District

On-Call as needed basis, $33.55 per hour, paid training will begin upon hiring.

PAID CDL TRAINING

REPORTS TO:

Transportation Director

NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:

To provide safe and efficient transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district's curriculum and extra curricular programs.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Safety of each passenger while on the bus in accordance with board policies and rules.
• Operation of the vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip checks on the vehicle and its special equipment at prescribed times.
• Establishing and maintaining rapport with passengers.
• Maintain discipline among passengers.
• Meet emergency situations in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Maintain effective contact with the public.
• Complete required reports on time in the prescribed manner.
• Satisfactorily complete required training and first aid programs.
• Arrive at bus location 15 minutes before time to leave on route.
• Spend ½ hour per day (2 ½ hours per week) maintaining a clean interior and exterior of the bus in accordance with standard procedures.
• Conduct Evacuation Drills two times per year according to state law.
• Submit to random drug and alcohol testing, state law.
• Perform duties as assigned
• Must pass an annual DOT physical examination by licensed physician

EDUCATION, LICENSE, CERTIFICATION, OR FORMAL TRAINING

• High School diploma required
• A combination of education and experience that prepares applicant for this job
• Class B Commercial Driver License with P. Endorsement required
• Random Drug and Alcohol Testing
• Must be able to pass Physical Examination by a licensed physician
