Substitute Bus Drivers for Teton County School District
On-Call as needed basis, $33.55 per hour, paid training will begin upon hiring.
PAID CDL TRAINING
REPORTS TO:
Transportation Director
NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:
To provide safe and efficient transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district's curriculum and extra curricular programs.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Safety of each passenger while on the bus in accordance with board policies and rules.
- Operation of the vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
- Conducting pre-trip and post-trip checks on the vehicle and its special equipment at prescribed times.
- Establishing and maintaining rapport with passengers.
- Maintain discipline among passengers.
- Meet emergency situations in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Maintain effective contact with the public.
- Complete required reports on time in the prescribed manner.
- Satisfactorily complete required training and first aid programs.
- Arrive at bus location 15 minutes before time to leave on route.
- Spend ½ hour per day (2 ½ hours per week) maintaining a clean interior and exterior of the bus in accordance with standard procedures.
- Conduct Evacuation Drills two times per year according to state law.
- Submit to random drug and alcohol testing, state law.
- Perform duties as assigned
- Must pass an annual DOT physical examination by licensed physician
EDUCATION, LICENSE, CERTIFICATION, OR FORMAL TRAINING
- High School diploma required
- A combination of education and experience that prepares applicant for this job
- Class B Commercial Driver License with P. Endorsement required
- Random Drug and Alcohol Testing
- Must be able to pass Physical Examination by a licensed physician
