Class A CDL Band Semi Truck/Trailer Driver AS NEEDED

Ability to work independently while maintaining responsibility for the safe transportation of district property. This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.
Primary Purpose:

Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer to transport high school band equipment, instruments, uniforms, and supplies to and from performances, competitions, rehearsals, and other band-related events. Ensure all equipment is transported safely, securely, and on schedule while following district, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

Valid Texas commercial driver's license (Class A) with Passenger and Air Brake

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Must be 21 years of age or older

Ability to pass alcohol and drug test

Must be able to pass a criminal history check/DPS physical/FMCSA

Must have acceptable driving record

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Ability to communicate effectively
