Southern Teton Area Rapid Transit (START) Bus is hiring qualified Transit Operators for 40 hrs/wk and for fill in/part time for the spring and summer seasons. Spring season runs through Friday, May 23, 2025 and Summer season runs through September 28, 2025 Paid training available. $26.36 - $32/hr.
This is an excellent opportunity for a value centered, team-oriented professional interested in public service as well as interested in enjoying a vibrant Rocky Mountain resort lifestyle with world class rock climbing, hiking trails, pathway system, class 5 rapids on the Snake River, and access to Bridger Teton National Forest, as well as Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks.
Primary duty is the operation of a bus in order to transport and assist the general public along a fixed route. Routes include transporting guests to and from the Town of Jackson and Teton Village, transporting locally employed and visitors throughout Town, fill-in shifts transporting commuters from Teton Valley Idaho and Star Valley Wyoming, and fill-in shifts serving our most vulnerable with ADA service all while operating an updated fleet of diesel powered buses, motor coaches for commuters, hybrid diesel/electric buses, and smaller gas powered shuttle buses. Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Qualifications include: Class B CDL with air brake and passenger endorsement. Successful applicants will possess the ability to deal politely, effectively and responsibly with the public.
Employment includes use of the Town of Jackson exercise gym and wash bay.
