Marana is one of the fastest-growing communities in Southern Arizona, located approximately 20 minutes northwest of downtown Tucson and 75 minutes southeast of Phoenix. The Town of Marana is seeking a Maintenance Associate III position to work in the Public Works Department with the Street Maintenance Division. This is a full-time position and an exciting opportunity for someone interested in working in a fast-paced environment. The Public Works Department provides services that are vital to our community's health, safety, and comfort.
Normal Business Hours: 6:00 - 4:30, 4 days a week, with mandatory rotating on-call
Location: 5100 W Ina Road, Tucson, AZ 85743The Town offers a competitive benefits package:
Expected Hiring Range: $20.65/hr. - $25.30/hr.

Operates all Class B vehicles

Assures safety rules and regulations are observed on the job site

Tracks and manages work orders, workflow, and supplies

Removes and replaces concrete by operating light equipment; cutting and breaking out damaged concrete, setting forms, and prepares subgrade, pouring and finishing concrete

Removes and replaces asphalt; cuts asphalt, prepares subgrade, installs new asphalt, crack seals roads

Transports and operates equipment: skid steer, Loaders, gannon, backhoe, kick broom, and steel/rubber rollers

Sets up traffic control devices

Inspects and maintains equipment, blue staking, inventory, and processes work orders in Cartegraph

High school diploma or GED equivalency plus six months of additional education or training

Over three (3) years of street construction/maintenance experience or closely related field

Valid Arizona Driver License

Valid Class B CDL w/Tanker Endorsement or must obtain within 6 months of employment

Subject to random testing per DOT (FMCSA) requirements

Must pass a pre-employment physical, a 50-pound lift test, and audiogram

Ability to pass both the Town of Marana background check and a motor vehicle records check
An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills & abilities to successfully perform essential functions may be considered.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Arizona Class B CDL w/Tanker Endorsement plus over three (3) years of street construction/maintenance experience
- Experience working in a Municipality/Government setting
