About the Position

Our client is seeking a dependable CDL A Delivery Driver for a local delivery position in Holtsville, New York. This role offers a flat rate of $275 per day and involves heavy touch freight deliveries to commercial locations throughout the region. The position is temp-to-perm and is expected to begin June 18, 2026.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $275 per day
• Average weekly pay: $1,375
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Start time: Between 4:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m.
• Schedule: Five-day workweek with mandatory Saturdays and one weekday off
• Schedule may be Monday through Friday depending on delivery volumes
• Employment type: Temp-to-perm

Job Details

• Route type: Local
• Freight: Heavy touch freight
• Equipment: Automatic reefer tractor-trailer
• Delivery area: Primarily New York, including the boroughs, with potential overflow into New Jersey and Connecticut
• Average stops: 10 to 14 per day
• Average day: 8 to 10 hours
• Freight handling: Unload using a hand cart or pallet jack, including deliveries up and down stairs and into basements
• Delivery locations may include restaurants, hospitals, and schools

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate an automatic reefer tractor-trailer
• Complete local deliveries safely, accurately, and on schedule
• Deliver freight to restaurants, hospitals, schools, and other commercial locations
• Unload freight using hand carts and pallet jacks
• Perform physical freight handling, including stair and basement deliveries
• Follow all applicable safety regulations and maintain a professional driving record

Minimum Requirements

• Valid CDL A
• 2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
• At least 1 year of touch freight experience
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
• Must be at least 21 years old
