CDL A Driver - Heavy Touch - $28 Per Hour 

TransForce is seeking a CDL A driver to support local operations based in East Syracuse, NY. 

This position offers steady work, reliable scheduling, and the opportunity to work with a driver-focused team. 

CDL A Details 

• Schedule: Monday - Friday, Occasional as needed Saturday's, 7am start time

• Pay:  $28 Per Hour, $1,200 - $1,300 estimated weekly pay

• Route Type: Local, covering Central NY, 4 stops per day

• Freight / Load Type: Hauling bottles and cans

• Equipment: 48' Dry Vans with rail gate

• Handling: Heavy touch freight,  identify and tag bags of bottles/cans, bottles/cans are in a large plastic bag, bags can weight up to 50 pounds, carry 5/6 by hand at a time and load on to trailer

CDL A Minimum Requirements:  

• License: CDL A 

• Experience: 6+ months of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience 

• Endorsements: None

• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in last 3 years) 

• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements 

CDL A Responsibilities:  

• Safely operate CDL A equipment on local routes 

• Transport bottles and cans in accordance with DOT and company safety standards 

• Perform required handling tasks including lifting by hand

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections 

• Maintain accurate logs and paperwork 

• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations 

• Meet the physical demands of the role, including [lifting, climbing, strapping, tarping, etc., if applicable]
