CDL A Driver – Touch Freight – $25 Per Hour – Benefits

Location: West Columbia, South Carolina

About the Position

Our client is seeking a dependable CDL A Driver to support local delivery operations in West Columbia. This on-site position offers steady work, reliable scheduling, home-daily routes, and the opportunity to work with a driver-focused team.

Pay & Schedule

Pay: $25 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, with a 7:00 a.m. start time
Hours: 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Long-term flex
Home Time: Home daily
Expected Start Date: July 20, 2026

Job Details

Route Type: Local delivery throughout the Columbia area
Freight: Paper and office products
Handling: Heavy touch freight; drivers unload at each stop
Additional Duties: Warehouse work when not making deliveries
Equipment: CDL A delivery equipment; forklift experience is a plus

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate CDL A equipment on local routes.
Transport paper and office products in accordance with DOT and company safety standards.
Unload freight at each delivery stop.
Perform warehouse duties when not making deliveries.
Maintain professional and dependable service at customer locations.

Minimum Requirements

Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
Touch freight experience.
Delivery experience with packaging materials preferred.
Forklift experience is a plus; training may be provided to the right applicant.
Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
