About the Position

Our client is seeking a CDL A Driver for a local heavy-touch freight position in Farmington, New York. This role involves hauling empty bottles and cans throughout Central New York and repeatedly handling large bags by hand during deliveries.

Pay & Schedule

• $27 per hour
• Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• 40 hours per week
• Temp-to-perm opportunity

Job Details

• Local route covering Central New York
• Approximately 4 stops per day
• Freight: Empty bottles and cans
• Equipment: 48-foot rail-gate dry vans
• Heavy-touch freight requiring repeated manual handling

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle on local routes.
• Transport empty bottles and cans to designated locations.
• Complete approximately 4 stops per day.
• Load and unload freight using the trailer rail gate and manual handling methods.
• Safely lift and move up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Follow all applicable safety and transportation regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A license
• 0+ months of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
• Ability to safely lift and move 50 pounds repeatedly
• At least 21 years old
