CDL Class A Driver – Local Touch Freight

Location: Avondale, Arizona

About the Position

We are seeking CDL Class A drivers to support a local distribution operation serving the greater Phoenix area. This is a customer-facing position involving deliveries to end customers and heavy-touch freight handling.

Pay & Schedule Details

• Est. Weekly $1,700
  • Regular route time: $21.37 per hour
  • Route overtime: $32.04 per hour
  • Yard time: $23.10 per hour
  • Yard overtime: $34.65 per hour
  • Mileage: $0.56 per mile
  • Stops: $18.08 per stop
  • Pre-trip and post-trip pay: $17.08 per completed trip
• AM shift
  • Yard dispatch at 4:00 a.m.
  • Route dispatch between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m.

Job Details

• Route type: Local routes throughout the greater Phoenix area, including Blythe, California; Safford; Payson; and Tucson
• Freight: Heavy-touch refrigerated and dry-van freight
• Equipment: Single-axle and tandem-axle day cabs, 40-foot, 48-foot, and 53-foot refrigerated trailers, and 48-foot dry vans
• Handling: Use of liftgates, dollies, and manual pallet jacks for unloading

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles and equipment.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and required delivery paperwork.
• Deliver products safely and on time to end customers.
• Unload heavy-touch freight using required delivery equipment.
• Provide professional customer service during deliveries.
• Maintain clear communication with customers, dispatch, and site leadership.
• Follow all applicable DOT and FMCSA regulations and safety procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
• Current, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
• English proficiency as required by federal regulation.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
