About the Position

Our client is seeking a dependable CDL A Driver for a local, on-site assignment in Port Allen, Louisiana. This temp-to-perm opportunity offers consistent weekday work, home-daily routes, and the potential for long-term employment.

Pay & Schedule

• $25 per hour
• Estimated weekly gross pay of $1,200
• Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• 40 hours per week
• Overtime after 40 hours
• Home daily
• Temp-to-perm employment

Key Responsibilities

• Load, inspect, and safely secure cargo during transit.
• Collect required signatures on shipping and receiving documents.
• Complete vehicle inspection sheets, fuel logs, daily logs, bills of lading, trip records, and expense reports.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform basic preventive maintenance.
• Follow all state and federal DOT regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• 2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
• Current DOT medical card.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 85 pounds.
