About the Position

Our client is seeking Class A CDL drivers for a local, home-daily position in Eagan, Minnesota. This temporary-to-permanent opportunity involves mail routes, time-sensitive freight, and light-touch handling. The assignment is scheduled to run from August 31 through September 12, 2026, with the possibility of becoming permanent.

Pay & Schedule Details

• Base pay: $31.34 per hour
• Health and welfare benefit: $6.16 per hour
• Total hourly compensation: $37.50 per hour
• Approximately 40 hours per week
• Local, home-daily schedule
• Start times vary between 2:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
• Flexible availability is required for changing schedules, routes, and operational needs during the startup period

Job Details

• Route type: Local mail routes
• Freight: Time-sensitive mail
• Equipment: Class A commercial vehicles
• Handling: Light-touch freight, including loading, unloading, and mail handling
• Assist with direct-ingestion processes and yard operations
• Follow all safety, security, and yard-compliance procedures

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle
• Complete assigned routes safely, accurately, and on time
• Load, unload, and handle mail as required
• Support startup execution, go-live activities, and operational stabilization
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate paperwork and delivery records
• Report delays, equipment issues, and operational concerns
• Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and workplace safety procedures

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• 6+ months of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
• Ability to perform light-touch freight duties
• Flexibility with workdays, start times, routes, and assignments
