CDL A Driver – X and Doubles/Triples Endorsements

Location: Scarborough, Maine

About the Position

Our client is seeking experienced Class A Day Drivers to support local operations in Scarborough, Maine. This position offers steady work, reliable scheduling, and the opportunity to work with a driver-focused team.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $36.50 per hour
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime routes
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Route distance: 50–100 miles

Job Details

• Route type: Local day routes
• Stops: Approximately 15–20 stops per route
• Freight: Freight of all kinds
• Trailer operation: Doubles
• Handling: Heavy touch
• Work setting: On-site

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment on assigned routes.
• Transport freight in accordance with DOT and company safety standards.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain accurate logs and required paperwork.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams.
• Meet the physical demands of the role, including heavy-touch freight handling.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
• X endorsement and doubles/triples endorsement required.
• Electronic logging device experience required.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
