About the Position

Our client is seeking a dependable Class A CDL driver for a local flatbed position in Nashville. This temp-to-perm opportunity offers home-daily routes, a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, and training on flatbed operations.

Pay & Schedule Details

• Pay: $29.00 per hour
• Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Start time: 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Employment type: Temp to perm
• Home time: Home daily

Job Details

• Route type: Local
• Freight: Countertops and natural stone slabs
• Equipment: Flatbed with automatic transmission
• Handling: Trucks are preloaded. Drivers strap freight and assist with unloading by wedging slabs apart; the customer completes the remainder of the unloading process.
• Training: Flatbed training provided

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate the assigned equipment.
• Secure freight properly using straps.
• Assist with unloading stone slabs as required.
• Transport freight in accordance with DOT and company safety standards.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain accurate logs and required paperwork.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations.
• Meet the physical demands of the position.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
• Strong backing skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Positive attitude and dependable work ethic.
