About the Position

Our client is seeking a dependable Class A CDL driver for a local flatbed position in Nashville. This role offers $29.00 per hour, home-daily routes, and the potential to transition from temporary to permanent employment. Flatbed training is available.

Pay & Schedule Details

• Pay: $29.00 per hour
• Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Start time: 6:30 a.m. or 8:00 a.m.
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Employment type: Temp-to-perm
• Work setting: On-site
• Home time: Home daily

Job Details

• Route type: Local
• Freight: Countertops and natural stone slabs
• Equipment: Flatbed trailer with automatic transmission
• Handling: Light-touch freight handling, strapping, and assistance with unloading
• Trucks are preloaded. Drivers wedge slabs apart, and the customer completes the unloading process.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate the assigned equipment and transport freight locally.
• Properly strap and secure countertops and natural stone slabs.
• Assist with unloading by separating slabs as needed.
• Follow all DOT and company safety standards.
• Complete accurate pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain accurate logs and required paperwork.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams.
• Perform the physical duties associated with the role.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• 3+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
• Strong backing skills.
• Ability to learn flatbed operations and freight-handling procedures.
• Strong communication skills.
• Positive attitude and dependable work ethic.
