This CDL A hazmat driver role is based in Houston, Texas, and pays $30 per hour. The local route runs from Houston to Texas City and Baytown. This TransForce driving opportunity offers a consistent Monday through Friday route with local work in the Houston area.

This role requires a Hazmat endorsement, experience handling nuclear waste materials, knowledge of chemical compatibility, placarding, and completion of a six-hour paid safety course, which may be taken remotely.

Pay & Schedule

• $30 per hour
• Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Home nightly
• Local routes based in Houston, Texas

What You'll Be Doing

• Drive local routes between Houston, Texas City, and Baytown.
• Transport 55-gallon and 30-gallon drums and totes containing nuclear waste materials.
• Handle heavy-touch freight and placarding.
• Apply knowledge of which chemicals may be transported together safely.

What You Need

• Valid CDL A
• 2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable CDL driving experience.
• Hazmat endorsement
• Experience handling nuclear waste materials
• Knowledge of chemical compatibility requirements
• Completion of a six-hour paid safety course
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years)
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
• Must be at least 21 years old
