CDL A Reefer Driver - Light Touch - $29 Per Hour

TransForce is seeking a CDL-A driver to support local and regional operations based in Troy, Michigan.

This position offers steady work, reliable scheduling, and the opportunity to work with a driver-focused team.

CDL-A Driver Details:

• Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, with occasional Sundays; local routes dispatch at 10:00 a.m. and out-of-state routes dispatch at 5:00 a.m. Local routes average 6–7 hours per day, while out-of-state routes average 10–12 hours per day. Possible one overnight trip during the week.
• Pay: $29.00 per hour, with overtime after 40 hours; $20 per day per diem and hotel provided for overnight trips
• Route Type: Local and regional
• Freight / Load Type: Frozen and dry food supplies delivered to food markets throughout Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, Chicago, and Michigan, including West Michigan. Approximately 7–10 local stops or 8–12 out-of-state stops per day.
• Equipment: Automatic Freightliner and Volvo trucks, including one sleeper and two day cabs, with reefer trailers
• Handling: Driver loading and unloading required using an electric pallet jack and liftgate

CDL-A Driver Minimum Requirements:

• License: CDL-A
• Experience: Two years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
• Equipment Experience: Reefer trailer
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record. MVRs will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements

CDL-A Driver Responsibilities:

• Safely operate automatic Freightliner or Volvo equipment on local and regional routes
• Transport frozen and dry food supplies in accordance with DOT and company safety standards
• Perform required handling tasks, including loading and unloading products using an electric pallet jack and liftgate
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate logs and paperwork using the Samsara logging system
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations
• Meet the physical demands of the role, including loading and unloading products
