CDL A Truck Driver - Touch Freight - $30 per Hour

About the Position

Our client is seeking a CDL A Truck Driver for a local, on-site delivery position serving convenience stores and other customer locations. This role involves touch freight deliveries throughout southern and central Vermont, with possible routes into southern New Hampshire and eastern New York.

Pay & Schedule Details

• Pay Rate: $30 per hour
• Schedule: 5 days per week
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Start Time: 4:00–5:00 a.m.
• Employment Type: Temp-to-perm
• Start Date: August 11, 2026

Job Details

• Route Type: Local
• Freight: Food and dry goods
• Delivery Locations: Primarily convenience stores and customer sites
• Stops: Approximately 10–15 stops per day
• Equipment: 28-foot reefer PUP trailer
• Handling: Heavy touch freight

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle and 28-foot reefer PUP trailer.
• Deliver food and dry goods to customer locations.
• Complete approximately 10–15 delivery stops per day.
• Perform touch freight handling as required at delivery locations.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers.
• Follow all applicable safety, transportation, and operating procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• 0+ months of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
