About the Position

TransForce is seeking a dependable Class A CDL truck driver for a local, home-daily flatbed position in the Ostrander, Ohio area. This role involves transporting lumber and building materials while operating a day cab with a 45- to 48-foot flatbed trailer.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $27.00 per hour
• Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Start time: 6:30 to 7:00 a.m.
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Employment type: Temp-to-perm
• Start date: August 27, 2026
• Home time: Home daily

Job Details

• Route: Local routes throughout the Ohio area, generally within 30 miles
• Freight: Lumber and building materials
• Equipment: Day cab with a 45- to 48-foot flatbed trailer
• Handling: Secure loads with straps and assist with unloading using a Moffett
• Training: Training provided on Moffett and flatbed operations
• Work setting: On-site

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate the assigned truck and trailer
• Secure freight properly using straps
• Assist with unloading materials using a Moffett
• Transport freight in accordance with DOT, FMCSA, and company safety standards
• Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate logs and delivery paperwork
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams
• Meet the physical demands of loading, securing, and unloading freight

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
• Ability to wear steel-toed boots
• Strong communication skills
• Positive attitude and dependable work ethic
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
