CDL Class A Local Port Driver

$1,800–$2,300 Weekly Earning Potential | North Charleston, South Carolina

About the Position

TransForce is seeking experienced CDL Class A Drivers for a local port and rail operation in North Charleston, South Carolina. This position offers excellent earning potential, consistent Monday-through-Friday work, and home daily. Pay & Schedule

• Average earning potential of $1,800–$2,300 per week, based on productivity
• Optional Saturday work with additional bonuses of $50–$100 based on completed moves
• Monday through Friday, approximately 5:00 AM start
• Local routes, home daily
• Paid training at $150 per day for 2–3 days

Job Details

• Route type: Local port and rail transportation
• Freight: Container moves between ports, rail yards, and customer facilities
• Handling: No Touch

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a CDL Class A tractor-trailer on assigned local port and rail routes.
• Complete container pickups and deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with dispatch to maximize daily moves and meet delivery schedules.
• Follow port and rail terminal procedures and safety requirements.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate trip documentation and follow all DOT regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A license
• 2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable Class A driving experience
• Previous CHS port experience required
• Valid TWIC card
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced port environment
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
