CDL-A Local Driver – Ashland, VA

TransForce is seeking two CDL-A Drivers to support local and regional transportation operations based in Ashland, VA.

CDL-A Driver Details:

• Pay: $29 per hour
• Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Start Time: Between 4:00 AM and 5:00 AM
• Shift Length: Approximately 9–11 hours per day
• Route Type: Local and regional
• Average Stops: Approximately 2–5 stops per day; may vary based on volume
• Service Area: Virginia and portions of North Carolina and Maryland
• Freight: Electrical materials
• Equipment: 48-foot curtain-side and flatbed trailers - automatic
• Handling: Drivers are responsible for pulling curtains and securing freight with straps

CDL-A Driver Minimum Requirements:

• Valid CDL-A
• At least 3 years of recent, relevant, and verifiable commercial driving experience
• Experience operating curtain-side and flatbed trailers
• Ability to properly secure freight using straps
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements

CDL-A Driver Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a CDL-A tractor-trailer on local and regional routes
• Transport electrical materials throughout the assigned service area
• Complete approximately 2–5 stops per day based on volume
• Pull and secure curtains on curtain-side trailers
• Properly secure freight using straps
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate paperwork and communicate effectively with dispatch
• Follow all company, DOT, and customer safety procedures
