CDL A Wide Load Driver - Local - $29 Per Hour
Location: Middletown, Connecticut
About the Position
Our client is seeking a CDL A Driver for a position in Middletown, Connecticut. This role involves driving wide loads with a focus on both driving and working with trailers.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay Rate: $29 per hour
- Overtime: After 40 hours
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
- Start Time: 5 – 7 AM
- Average Work Hours: 9 - 10 hours per day
Job Details
- Route Type: Local
- Freight: Wide Loads
- Equipment: Automatic Tractors
- Handling: 25% driving, 75% working with blocking and unblocking trailers
- Coverage Area: Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York (not the boroughs)
- Stops: 3-4 stops per day
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CDL A vehicles safely and efficiently
- Handle wide loads and ensure proper blocking and unblocking of trailers
- Complete daily routes within the assigned geographic area
- Maintain communication with dispatch regarding any issues or delays
Minimum Requirements
- Valid CDL A
- 1+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable CDL driving experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years)
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
- Experience driving oversized/wide loads
